Craig Thomson is a prolific performer, composer, recording artist and educator located in Western Canada.

Craig has built a reputation as an outstanding saxophonist who delights audiences with his robust, muscular tenor sound, which is fresh and exciting while maintaining a sense of being richly anchored in the jazz tradition.

Many of Craig’s students have distinguished themselves on a national and provincial level, receiving prestigious awards and accolades and being invited to play in various national and provincial honour bands. Craig’s students often have the privilege of choosing between competing offers from some of Canada’s top post-secondary music schools, many of which include impressive scholarship offers.

Whether in the field of jazz performance or education, Craig Thomson’s name is synonymous with warmth, excellence, style and sophistication. He is currently accepting bookings for festivals, clubs and jazz societies throughout the Pacific Northwest, and he accepts new private students on a selective basis.
